9.17.19 was surreal! I got the text Monday night the Brooks was on his way, and we have joked for a few weeks now that I would have "go bag" and Bree would have hers.
If you know me and have followed my work for a while you know that I primarily shoot weddings, engagements, seniors & sweethearts. However, that does not mean I won't push and go outside my comfort zone for people, it's just not my expertise. Just ask the nurse in the hall when I arrived to the hospital holding a massive bouquet of flowers and my camera gear on my back, I said " do I knock, do I just go in, uhhh..." to my disbelief I had actually said all of these things out loud, and she said "knocking is usually good" (insert face palm moment here). I knocked and Bree's mom graciously opened the door and let me in to see the new little family. Two things about this experience: 1) I know Bree I would say very well, never thought I would be as close to tears as I was walking in her room and 2) HUGE SHOUT OUT TO HER MOM WHO CAPTURED MY EXPRESSION ROUNDING THE CORNER TO SEE THEM! That was an unforgettable moment for me and her mom captured it all, one of the sweetest things anyone has ever done on one of my photo sessions right there.
Well enough about me, let's get to the little man. HE IS PERFECTION. Check out his first photo session at just a few hours old and already so precious.
