Many people may notice, there are a lot of photos in the same location. Over the past 3 years, I have had the wonderful experience of partnering with The Little Wedding Chapel, both while it was in Detroit and now in its new location in Central Florida ( Eustis, FL).
For people who are just getting in to photography a wedding chapel is a great place to learn. Luckily for me, I had the opportunity to work alongside my dad as a photographer (Chris Gustafson Photography). I've definitely grown along way from my first wedding with him over 3 years ago now.
For many photographers, there is a negative attitude in regards to partnering with a chapel. It's almost like a dirty word to some photographers, and I've heard it before " oh, you work at a chapel..." HECK YES, I DO! All of the wedding experience in photography that I have gained I owe to The Little Wedding Chapel for allowing me a place to grow into my own style.
While weddings are in the same location, no wedding is alike. The photos never look identical, they all have their own twist on the set ups and moods. The way the shoot looks in the end is entirely up to the client, the energy, the interaction.
The wedding chapel industry has given me confidence as a photographer in any situation, I have also had the joy and honor of learning other aspects of the business such as wedding coordinating, ceremonies, and licenses. I am so very grateful for the opportunities that have been provided to me by Theresa Bruza, Chris Gustafson & The Little Wedding Chapel.
